Before anyone chastises me, I know, I know, I KNOW! You all want to see pics, and believe me, there are a ton to get up on here, but Sam has all of them on his computer and this weekend's project is for him to get all of them on the external drive so I can access them and get them up on here. But, I had to post before this story gets lost in the craziness of life.
So, a while ago, maybe for Christmas? Grandpop bought Liam a Toy Story book that has a magnadoodle thingy attached to it. The book shows how to draw all the characters from the movie, and Sam is the only one in this house that's any good at it. This does not change the fact that every time Grandpop is here Liam brings the book to him and proceeds to ask him to draw every character in it. So, a few weeks ago, Grandmom and Grandpop were here and like always, Liam brings my dad the book. They go through and draw aliens, the penguin, and all is going well. Grandpop draws the picture, stops so he and Liam can admire it, and Liam giggles hysterically while he erases it and Grandpop pretends to protest. They get to the page that shows how to draw Rex, the dinosaur, and Grandpop draws, all the while Liam is watching. When he's done Liam looks at him all serious-like and says, "Um, Grandpop, let's try that one again." while he's erasing all of Grandpop's hard work. Mom and I laughed hysterically. That kid is such a character! I love him to pieces. =)
Also, tonight we took the boys to Green Gables (which is a local place with really good hamburgers) and it was Euan's first trip there where he was eating real food. Well, we were sitting there eating our dinner and someone fed the jukebox. I wish I could remember what song was playing, but Euan was bee-bopping away and smiling, and giggling at us laughing at him. The people at the table next to us were even laughing at him. =)
OK, time for the Easter bunny to load up the baskets!

As I sit here looking at the blog, I realize that I have been bad about updating our blog as of late. I could blame it on Sam changing sites on me, but really there’s no excuse. Sam promises to get all the pics from his computer onto the server this weekend so that I can access them and update you all on everything that has been going on in the daily lives of the Bridgers. Liam is growing like a weed – both in height and vocabulary. That little boy makes me laugh out loud every day. What in the world did we do without him? He and Euan are such a joy in our lives and I thank God everyday for entrusting us with two such special little people.
Euan went to get his first haircut - thanks to Meighan for doing an awesome job, as always. Today, my friend, Erin, and I baked cakes and cupcakes galore and made enough icing for all of it and then some. =)
Tomorrow is my nephew, Jack’s first birthday, and Saturday is our little Euan’s first birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a year since these two buddies came into our lives. We have Jack with us once a week and the boys love it. Liam loves when “Jack Jack” comes to play. I’m looking forward to chasing all three of them at the parks this summer. =)
So, you can see that there will be lots of pictures coming your way next week. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed living it all. =) Happy Spring! =)

The Bridgers spent Christmas morning at home and Grandmom and Grandpop came to see the boys open their gifts and have breakfast with us. Here's some of the highlights. Enjoy! =)

Christmas eve we had dinner at our house with Grandmom and Grandpop. The boys had a great time showing off their matching pajamas and preparing for Santa's arrival. Liam was excited to leave milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. =)

So, my lovely son, Liam, out of the blue told me yesterday morning as we are all getting ready for the day, "Mommy, how about no coffee today?" And I'm thinking, Seriously kid? You expect me to get through a day with a two year old and a nine month old caffeine free? So I said to him, "How about no cookies today?" And he looks at me and says, "OK Mommy, you have coffee and Liam have cookies." Smart kid. =)

So I ran into an interesting dilemma, and my usually analytical brain is having a hard time wrapping my head around it.
Imagine the scenario: I have a blog, a twitter, and a facebook. I'm trying to manage updates to all of them, and I think I've at least determined the rules around how I want to manage those updates:
1. Facebook updates shouldn't automatically update anything else.
2. Blog updates should update twitter and facebook.
3. twitter updates should update facebook.
Now on the face of it, it sounds simple: blog -> twitter -> facebook. However, add in another rule here:
4. Blog updates should go to facebook as a complete entry, not as a bit.ly shortcut.
And now, the crux of the problem. In order to achieve all of the above, I ran into a snag - Blog updates are appearing twice on facebook - the tweet with the bit.ly link, and the facebook pull from the Blog's RSS feed.
5. No duplicate entries on the same system.
This is the one I can't figure out - so I've temporarily disabled the twitter -> facebook link. I figure that currently I don't have that much to tweet, so it's not exactly an issue; on the offchance that I figure out what to use twitter for, it might become an issue again.
So... what do y'all do? Any tricks that I've overlooked?

So, as part of this new blog set up I have vowed to document all the randomness of a certain two year old in our house - and the randomness of his little brother soon enough!
This morning we were all sitting at the table eating breakfast this morning when this conversation occurs:
Liam: Mommy, Veggie Tales have two butts.
Me: What?
Liam: Veggie Tales have two butts. (He then proceeds to lift up LarryBoy and Larry and show me their 'butts")
Me: Ahh, ok.
I'd love to say that randomness like this is rare, but in fact it is a daily addition to our lives, and it makes the days a little brighter. =)
In the past we have had the following two conversations which I think illustrate what a character this kid is to live with.
Story #1:
A few weeks ago we were all sitting on the floor after dinner playing and listening to music:
Me: Liam, who is that? (pointing to Euan)
Liam: That's Euan!
Me: Who is this? (pointing to Liam)
Liam: That's Liam!
Me: Who's that guy? (pointing to Sam)
Liam: That's Daddy!
Me: What's Daddy's real name?
Liam: Sam!
Sam: Who's that? (pointing to me)
Liam: That's Mommy!
Sam: What's Mommy's real name?
Liam: (without missing a beat) Oh Jesus!
Apparently I say "oh Jesus" a little too often, which I am now trying to correct. But, trust me, some days I want to say a whole lot worse than "oh Jesus!".
Story #2:
So, this one needs a little back story - a few weeks ago Liam told Sam that the ceiling fan talks to him. We were wondering if this was ghosts or spirits of some sort since he says it happens at night. So, the next night after dinner I get it my head to ask Liam about this talking ceiling fan.
Me: Hey Liam, does the ceiling fan talk to you?
Liam: Yes
Me: What does it say?
Liam: (looking up at the ceiling fan in the living room and making a circular motion with his arm) It says, "go around and around".
Now, at this point I know he is messing with us, but I carry on with the conversation.
Me: What else does it say?
Liam: It says, "Yogurt bites."
Now, for those of you who don't have small children, Gerber makes these freeze dried yogurt things that are called yogurt bites. Euan loves them and so does Liam, but Liam only gets one since he would sit and eat a whole bag if you let him. So, basically he was trying to get us to give him some yogurt bites because the ceiling fan said so. Silly bugger.

Last Saturday we took the boys for the annual trip to see Santa at State Farm. Although it looks like we stood in line for a while, I think it was only about 15 minutes. I don't know if it's because it was so long ago, but I remember having to stand in line for a lot longer when I was a kid.
Anyway, Liam was excited to see Santa, but when we got up there he decided he would rather stand beside Santa and tell him what he wanted for Christmas. I can't blame the kid, I mean, all the time we tell kids to be wary of strangers, but then Christmas rolls around and we tell them it's ok to sit on a stranger's lap.
Euan was ok until he took a good look at Santa and realized he didn't know this guy and didn't want to be sitting on his lap. To be fair, both boys did great considering our time for our Santa visit was 1:30pm and that is right in the middle of Euan's nap and also the time when Liam goes down for his nap.
Liam was so cute. He told Santa that he wanted talking Buzz and Woody (from Toy Story) and that Euan wanted blocks.
Anyway, here are the pictures - Enjoy! =)

OK, since the hard drive crash, we've completely neglected the blog.
No longer - we're back, bigger, better, and on my server. Bye bye blogspot, it was a fun ride.
Without further ado, here's the installment from November.
You'll note with this new blog, clicking on the pictures won't blow out your window so you have to scroll to see the whole picture - well, that's the idea, anyways!
Enjoy!

The external hard drive broke. Someone let out the magic smoke, and it stopped turning. So for a while, not only were we not able to put new pictures up on here, but it looked like all the pictures from the last 3 years were gone, minus a few backups from some points in time. However, I put my data recovery fu into action, and brought the innards back to life, at least for long enough to pull everything off. But it's on another drive, and not entirely organized. Watch this space, updates resuming again soon -S Labels: ohcrap
